This thesis is a research about preschool teachers’ threatening language.The author considers that preschool teachers’ threatening language means teachers use compression words when children’s behaviors are contradictory to the rules in the kindergarten or contradictory to the teachers’ requirements. The purpose is to make children afraid to act in accordance with the wishes of the teachers through the power of language.The author conducts a natural observation in a university affiliated kindergarten and documents the preschool teachers’ threatening language episodes normatively. By combining quantitative and qualitative methods together, the author analyzes the types and distinct characters of preschool teachers’ threatening language, and puts the cause analysis into the research about preschool teachers’ threatening language.The first part of this paper is about the types of preschool teachers’ threatening language, main sentences and its impacts. First, the author conducts a natural observation in the teachers who are using threatening language, and documents the preschool teachers’ threatening language episodes normatively. Then combining the interview, the types of preschool teachers’ threatening language can be divided into direct and indirect threatening language; individual and collective threatening language; deprivation and punishment threatening language. At last, the author summaries its main sentences and impacts.The second part is the deep root of the using threatening language including internal factors and the influence of external environment.The third part is about the resolve strategies which are based on the analysis of in the front. On the one hand, teachers should improve their overall qualities; on the other hand, we should create a good external environment for teachers.The last part of this paper analyzes the deficiencies of the research.
