There are many foreign learners in China’s comprehensive universities and they have more choices for disciplines, for example:Chinese, traditional Chinese Medicine, calligraphy, martial arts. China’s history and other disciplines. These foreign learners have a higher Chinese level and know more about Chinese culture, therefore providing a good platform for spreading Wushu culture. Moreover"the CCTV Chinese contest" program attracts many a foreign learners from more than a hundred universities to sport every year. The program provides them a good university to show their achievements in learning Chinese and Chinese culture. In talent show, many of them have chosen martial arts. Their demand in this area, in turn, affords a turning point for martial arts spreading.Wushu Class is mainly taught by the school physical education teachers employed by the Institute of International Education. The proportion has reached70.6%and teachers who has more than senior professional titles acount for78.3%.The schools generally don’t specify teacher materials and teaching contents are based on Traditional Routines of Wushu and Tai Chi Sword.Foreign students are fond of Wushu Classes and they evaluate teaching methods as "satisfactory" account for83.5%. The sequence of Wushu projects that students are interested is Traditional Routines of Wushu. Nunchukus. Tai Chi Sword and other Wushu projects. The corresponding proportion is80.6%,77.4%,66.5%and19.7%.What’s more,9.8.3%of the students prefer classes in large comprehensive museum. Results of analyzing our comprehensive college in teaching foreign students Wushu indicate that the teaching of Wushu. the quintessence of Chinese culture, in comprehensive colleges is not encouraging. While some colleges and universities opened Wushu elective courses or cultural experience,83.9%of the colleges don’t define the content and credits clearly. In some schools foreign students do not have Wushu classes, the students hire a teacher themselves or participate a Wushu group. Primarily, foreign students know about Wushu by means of movies, TV and online media, which makes a malposition between Wushu in eyes of them and that in reality. In addition,28.8%of overseas students don’t understand Wushu and the main motivation is talent show and cultural exchanges.According to aforementioned favorable conditions and the results, I’d like to put forward some suggestions about designing Wushu courses in our comprehensive colleges. Firstly, the content of Wushu should be diverse. Let’s say. giving priority to Traditional Routine and Tai Chi Sword and putting other items on the intramural associations or groups. Secondly, In terms of faculties, we’d better combine internal and external experts. Thirdly, composing for bilingual students to learn martial arts teaching is necessary. Fourthly, to encourage and stimulate the enthusiasm of students to learn Wushu. Wushu management and promotion departments create a "CCTV international students martial arts competition "that is similar to "CCTV Chinese Competition". Fifthly, school should guarantee school martial arts classes to credits. Last but not the least, improving teaching infrastructure is imperative.
