| As the English curriculum reforms, the Task-based Teaching(TBT)plays a more and more important role in our English teaching in the seniormiddle school. Meanwhile, as a part of English teaching and tests, Englishwriting takes up a most important position. What’s more, the newcurriculum requires students have higher writing ability to deal with theentrance examination. The teaching of English writing has become the mostvital in English teaching. On the contrary, students in almost Chinese areasare weak in English writing. To improve their writing ability, the researcherdid some study about English writing.In this paper, the researcher did some experiment with the leading of theTask-based Teaching and the goals of the National New English CurriculumStandard. According to the Present situation and Problems of the writingteaching in the senior middle school the researcher designed a series oftask-based activities, including Listening-Writing Combining Activity,Finding-Model Activity,Authentic Activity, Four-step Activity andParaphrase and Expanding Activity. Some teaching cases and process arealso presented at the same time. And these teaching activities are provedpractical and effective through one study year, which can evoke students’ interestand improve students’ writing ability.The experiment is carried out among the140students in class8and class9in grade one in No.1Machine No.1middle school. The experiment is due to last one study year. The Paper concentrates on the description of the wholeexperiment,including experiment subject,time,materials,the detailed Process,the data compilation, etc. In order to demonstrate the effect of the task-basedactivities in teaching writing, a lot of statistic was collected, including the meanscore of the two classes before and after the experiment, standard deviationbefore and after the experiment and the result of the two questionnaires. Bycomparing the statistic between the experimental class and controlled class, wecan draw the conclusion that the task一based teaching method in writing ismore effective than the traditional method. The results finally support theabove conclusion. |
