With the arriving of the global knowledge economy era, all the countries of the world focus on the development of education and the improvement of the quality of the people. And the lifelong education has become the trend of social development in countries around the world. Under the background of the examination-oriented education, tutoring education has been not only an indispensable part of Chinese education, but also an integral part of lifelong education. At the same time, in the past few years, as a part of the national economy, the economic growth of the tutoring education and training industry maintained double-digit growth rate each year. It introduced lots of capital to the educational industry and caused an increase of the total amount of the high-quality educational resources. It also updated the educational thought and the promoted the reform of the management and teaching method of the education of China by the international cooperation. Tutoring education and training industry as a kind of service industry is also making contribution to the taxes of our country and providing the employment opportunities for the community to make its due contribution. Therefore, research and analysis of the tutoring education and training industry is very necessary and important.This paper adopts the method of literature, questionnaire, interview, observation and statistics to research the present situation of the tutoring education of the city of Hohhot, and then point out the problems. At last propose some specific solutions.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction, mainly including the background and significance of the research, the researching content and methods, the definition of the related concepts and the expected researching results. The second part is about the literature review of the domestic and foreign tutoring educational research, and then briefly describes three well-known domestic and foreign tutoring educational institutions. The third part is the specific analysis of the development of the tutoring educational institutions in Hohhot. After deep interviews with two managers of two different tutoring educational institutions, conducting a survey of129students, and non-continuous interviews with100parents, combined with my own experience on running the tutoring educational institution, the author analyze the development of the tutoring educational institutions in Hohhot, and raise some questions. The author makes the attributive analysis on the problems of the Hohhot tutoring educational institutions in Part IV. In the last part of the paper, the author proposed five countermeasures:(1) tutoring educational institutions should have the courage to innovate and educate someone according to his natural ability,(2) pay attention to the human resources development and management of teachers,(3) establish a "customer-oriented, students-oriented" management philosophy and system,(4) search for differences and advantages of the market position in order to obtain long-term development,(5) increase financing channels to enhance the financing capacity and make the reasonable use of resources.Tutoring education is related to the majority of the students closely, and occupying parts of their spare time. Tutoring education is influencing the children’s physical and mental growth and the learning of knowledge and skills just like school education, so this study has a strong practical value.
