With the rapid development of science and technology, human are facingmany problems. Therefore, a kind of new thought of science education,science and technology and social education in the world has been formed inthe reform of Science Education. STS is the first letter abbreviation of thesethree English words, i.e., science,technology and society. In STS education,the relationship and application of STS in life, production, and socialdevelopment are paid much attention to. Currently, biology as the leadingsubject in the natural science, is closely related to human production, life andthe development of economic and social. Therefore, biology teaching in theimplementation of STS education is particularly important for students in thehigh school.There are many disadvantages in Chinese traditional science educationby the education system itself and the exam-oriented education and otherfactors, which result in students’ attention to knowledge, and light ability.What ’s more, STS being out of line and not being valuing properly. So, toimprove the effect of STS teaching in-depth in high school, the paper analysisof the necessity and importance of the implementation of STS education inbiology teaching, on the basis of the overview about the concept of the STSeducation, production, characteristics and research situation. The paperstudies the penetration and implementation of the concept of STS education inhigh school biology teaching, it mainly through a questionnaire survey, highschool biology molecular and cell module STS teaching content analysis, casestudies and experimental control. The experimental results found that the STSeducation significantly improve on students’ logical thinking, analyticalability, knowledge utilization, emotion and attitude. So teachers should trulyfocus on the STS education, and strengthen their own stock of knowledge,learn and master the effective way of STS education, make the efforts for thedepth of STS education.
