The Study Of Peer Psychological Helping For All Around Development Of University Students

With the intensifier competition and wider information channels in theever-upgrading social environment at home and abroad,the strategies and methods weused to facilitate the university studentsˊdevelopment are obviously falling behindthe current demand. To help the studentsˊall around and healthy development andfulfill the objectives of the moral education, universities in China have adoptedvarious measures to help the studentsˊgrowth. The thesis introduces the Peerpsychological Helping, a psychological counseling approach to facilitate thestudentsˊall around and healthy development. Fully making use of the studentsˊinitiation and motivation, the approach means to help themselves in a way of helpingothers through the methods of self-instruction, self-management andself-improvement with the aim of perfecting their all around development. Besides, italso makes up the deficiency of the resource and function of the professionpsychological counseling staff.Firstly, the thesis makes a comprehensive study of the origins and developmentof human all around development and Peer Helping, which sets the base for the studyof facilitating university studentsˊall around development in the perspective of Peerpsychological Helping. Secondly, the author talks about the connotation and extensionof the all around development and the factors leading to it. She points out theproblems existing in the ethical and political education-the main channel to facilitate the studentsˊall around development in higher education. Just as other educationalmethods, the ethical and political education values too much on the education staffand the educational environment while neglecting the initiation and motivation instudents’ all around development. Hence this chapter leads in the topic of thethesis-the study of Peer psychological Helping for all around development ofuniversity students. the third, the author talks about the connotation and extension ofPeer psychological Helping, together with the theoretical basis and current situation todevelop the Peer psychological Helping. At last, which is also the last chapter of thethesis, the author designs a Peer psychological Helping system in the perspective ofall around development and itˊs implementing measures. It also explains theprinciple of constructing the Peer psychological Helping system and the maintainingof the Peer psychological Helping counseling projects. Finally the thesis ends up withthe authorˊs prediction of the Peer psychological Helping systemˊs futuredevelopment.Coupling with the reference of previous literatures, the thesis analyze plenty ofliteratures and cases with the methods of literature analysis, case study andcomparative study. On the basis of learning from the successful experiences of foreigncountries, the author raises the point of establishing a peer psychological counselingsystem. She provides the example of the constructing and implementing of the peerpsychological counseling institute of East China University of Political science andLaw to back up her point.The new idea which the author brings forth in the thesis is: to facilitate theuniversity studentsˊall around development in the perspective of playing the activerole of the studentsˊinitiation and motivation.
