As the important way of moral education, model education plays an important role on adolescents during their process of development. For example:as thought leaders, models can guide adolescents to choose correct value orientation; and as moral examples, models can promote adolescents to develop good moral character. Meanwhile, models can help adolescents to have a good socialization; as behavior Models, models also helps adolescents to develop good habits; In addition, models can make up the adolescents demand for remote intimacy. However, with the value idea’s diversity and idols in flood, the effectiveness of traditional moral education is weakening gradually. And the adolescents personality, antagonistic psychology and the pursuit of fashion, which strengthen the trend. So some researchers worry about that the weakening of the effectiveness of model education will lead to the rationality crisis of the model education. Weather the model education is out of the time? The answer is no. However, we should research some new questions like:who is the model, who can be a model, what kings of models will be popular among adolescents, how to promote adolescents to accept models set by educators and to promote the models to play the important role on adolescents development? In face of the questions, the researchers should be researched totally and responded positively both theoretically and practically.The all questions and problems lead me to research the model education of contemporary adolescents. The author explores and analyses the law of model education and the countermeasures to promote effectiveness, which is based on the investigation of present situation of model education. The thesis is formed by four parts:The introduction mainly explains the reasons, present situation, the problems, the train of thought and the method of model education research. This part is order to put forward the research problems and to show the progress and deficiencies of model education research. The main question is that "how to enhance the effectiveness of model education?" and which is including these questions:what is the standard to evaluate whether the model education is effective or not? What is the present situation of the model education of contemporary adolescents? Why the effectiveness of traditional moral education is weakening gradually? What are the conditions and what is the mental mechanism to follow the model effectively? How to promote the effectiveness of model education?In the first part, the author introduces the result of investigation about the present situation of the model education of contemporary adolescents, which is obtained by survey method, interview method and method of literature. Then the author designs the evaluation index system, including four dimensions (Cognition, Identification, Empathy, Behavior) and several indexes. Contrast the result of investigation and the evaluation indexes, the author objectively summarizes the characteristic of the model education of contemporary adolescent, and explains the reasons of the weakening trend.The second part mainly describes the theory of model education. On the basics of organizing the previous researches of model education, the author research the basis, vaules of model education, the conditions for the effectiveness of model education, and the adolescent mental mechanism to follow the model. Mental mechanism is the key of this part, including to cognitive model, to identify model, to have sympathy with model, to emulate and to intensify behavior.In the third part the author tries to put forward the countermeasures to strengthen the effectiveness of model education of contemporary adolescents. The details are: five standards for setting up models, mean that models must be true, can be modeled, be advanced, inherit national traditional virtues, and has the contemporary characteristics. Four principles, mean that model education should be carried out activities of model education in life, guide people to choose noble value ideas, set up a variety of models for adolescents of different levels. Six methods:Cognition Method Of Morel Education, Identification Method Of Morel Education, Experience Method Of Morel Education, Practice Method Of Morel Education, Interaction Method Of Morel Education, and Transcendence Method Of Morel Education. Meanwhile, to strengthen the effectiveness of model education also relies on a good social environment. So to play an exemplary role by friends, parents, teachers, Public figures; to carried out activities of model education often and regularly; to Strengthen mass media’s function of propaganda and guidance; to form a long-acting mechanism of rights and interests of models, which are effective methods to form a good social environment.For the sake of strengthening the effectiveness of model education, the guide of scientific theory is requisite. Similarly, the improvement and complement of the model education is achieved only in the practice of moral education. Therefore, exploring the theory and practice mode of effectiveness of model education is not the once action, which is a difficult and protracted task for Model education researchers.
