The Globalization of politics demands that a modern country should view its ownpolitical development from the historic point, macro perspective and humanity’s point.Although every country has different historical traditions, ideologies and political systems,democracy has become the common political values pursuit of humanity. In the currentwave of democratization, how to adapt to the times, promote China’s democratic politicalconstruction and develop socialist political civilization has become an important topic ofmodernization.Power is the core of political life and an important factor of political and civilizedconstruction. In the transition period of current society, problems caused by powerconsciousness’s diversification, power’s connection to market and interests have becomeincreasingly serious. Only by examine power’s systems and operational procedures intheory can power’s problems be recognized and relieved correctly, and can theconstruction of socialist democratic politics be promoted.This paper uses power’s origin, alienation and regresses as logic clues, and also buildsa complete system of power from the perspective of history and political philosophy. Viewfrom historical origin, power is not the most original element of human culture. Naturalrights are owned by human beings first while power is formed by the shift of natural rights.This paper starts from rights, explores basic theory of rights and powers, and draws theconclusion that power should achieve the rational regress of rights, and that there are twodirections--alienation and democracy—from rights to power.Alienation is the shift of power from the rights’"fault" and democracy is the regressof power from the rights’"merit". This paper analyzes the phenomenon of power’salienation from the concept of power’s alienation, historical evolution, actual performance,social harm and the reasons. Meanwhile, this article draws the conclusion that peoplecontrol the whole country is the nature of democracy and also put forward the formationand improvement path of people’s socialist sovereignty, after integrating the concept, thehistory and the related theory of democracy, draw the essence of democracy is the people’scontrol of the country, also proposed to achieve the path of socialism and improvement of the people’s sovereignty.For the metamorphic power, democracy is its rational choice. Thearticle discusses regress both from theoretical and practical perspectives. In theory, theprogress from alienation to democracy is not only essential, but also has a real possibility.In practice, the progress from alienation to democracy can be achieved by building aservice-oriented government, building civil society,taking the road of constitutionalgovernment and improving the mechanism of supervision.
