The Research Of Disaster Risk Perception Among Guangzhou Residents

Disasters will cause People significant casualties and huge economic losses of property, and make the affected people under enormous psychological shadow, also bring great challenges to emergency disaster management work. With the further development of economic society, people pay more attention to life and property, it is necessary to strengthen preventive measures against various risks. Through Field research to understand the individual’s perception of the risk of disasters, helping government departments to grasp the people’perception of various risks, assisting government departments to develop policies related to spreading knowledge of disaster risk and to make prevention measures of disaster risk.Firstly, the current state of the disaster risk and disaster risk perception research conducted systematically in this paper. From the perception theory of disaster risks, the study has deeply inquired into the concept of disaster risk and their characteristics. Then in this research, the Guangzhou residents as the carrier, we obtained the survey data through a random survey. Using the methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this research systematic analyzed the individual understanding of the five dimensions of perception of the disaster, including the possibility of disaster, disaster influence degree, the degree of hazard control, and the acceptance for disasters. By using SPSS statistical software, forming a structural model of perception of disaster risk, further explains the individual’s differences in perception of disaster risk, which summed up the factors for the differences in individual’perceive of disaster. This study based on social factors and individual factors, gives different countermeasures and suggestions respectively. It is a meaningful Research that helping people to enhance the awareness of disaster risks, as well as government departments to develop policies related to disaster risk prevention.
