William leiss tries to analyze the reason of ecological crisis and seek ways to solve the problem from the angle of the concept of Natural control. He believes that the root of ecological crisis nowadays is covered with the concept of Natural control. Then, leiss considers that the concept of Natural control should be reinterpretation of controlling the relationship between man and nature. Leiss think that we can solve the ecological crisis by changing the ethical values. He sees the relationships among different people behind from the relationships between man and nature. It is worth further study. But there are certain problems about the concept of man and nature as well as their understanding of the relationship in the discussing process of "Natural control" theory proposed by leiss. The feasibility of the proposed solution path has also been questioned. Now, China is faced with the harsh realities of the ecological environment, which is destroyed. How to build ecological civilization, to carry out the scientific concept of development and construct a new and beautiful China for we can achieve between man and nature from the "master slave" to "harmonious coexistence" is an important issue that we faced currently. Therefore it will be of great significance that inherit and learn western ecology Marxist theory critically. The thesis contains six parts:The first part is the introduction. This part has four aspects. Introduction part introduces the purpose and significance of the topics, the research situation both at home and abroad, the research methods of this paper and the innovation of this paper. The second part mainly discusses the background of "Nature control" theory raised by leiss. This part tells the profile of leiss and the "Nature control" theory’s social and historical background. The third part mainly discusses the basic content of leiss’s Nature control theory. First, it discusses his new interpretation of nature control; Second, it discusses leiss’s criticism and his logic about the concept of nature control, namely from the worship of nature to control nature, from controlling nature to liberating natural control. Finally, I point out that leiss’s limitations on the concept of nature control critical and mainly display in three aspects:a way of thinking of subject-object dichotomy, Historical idealism, Utopia tendency and romantic. The fourth part is a reflection. I clarify the relationship between human and nature under Marx’s background and the relationship between critical weapons and weapons of criticism. The fifth part is a revelation. I link the natural control theory of leiss with the construction of beauty China at present and point out that a series of theoretical and practical problems that should be comprehensively considered when we are implementing a scientific outlook on development, building a harmonious socialist society, as well as the construction of "two type" society. The sixth part is the conclusion. It once more underlines the dialectical unity relationship between human and nature and points out that the way to solve ecological crisis lies in the comprehensive measures of many aspects. The most important aspect I think is the change of ethical values, the transformation of the capitalist system and the realization of social justice. Finally, Ecological crisis theory research in the future also is prospected.
