Being one of main contents of Marxist theoretical system, the communism idea has been the focus which the educational circle pays attention to and studies. However, as far as the general status of the educational circle’s study, the people pay more attention to some of the classical texts focused on direct discussion on the communism, and more taking "the German Ideology"(hereinafter called "Ideology") as one of the great works about materialist conception of history so that insufficient attention is paid to the communism idea in it even the discussion on the communism is understood in isolation by leaving the materialist conception of history. It is believed in this paper that Marx’s explanation about the communism in the "Ideology" is just based on revelation of the development rule and trend of the "History of the World". Therefore, it is more accurate and reasonable to understand and grasp the communism idea in the "Ideology" from Marx’s "History of the World". Viewing from the materialist conception of history, the communism idea in the "Ideology" has got rid of the shortcoming to elaborate the communism from the view of value and grasp the communism from the conception of history. The four aspects are mainly discussed in this paper:Part I is mainly focused on discussing the view of the communism before the "Ideology" written by young Marx. Marx’s communism idea mainly came from the two aspects i.e. the western traditional humanism idea and popular communist or socialist theory in Europe since the16th century. Young Marx’s exploration on the communism is a winding course under the complicated historical condition. The criticism on the popular communism idea in the "Manuscript of the Philosophy of Economics1844" at the time marks the preliminary formation of young Marx’s view of the communism.Part Ⅱ is focused on centralized discussion of the communism idea in the "Ideology" It is believed in this paper that Marx’s explanation on the communism in the "Ideology’ is based on the two bases i.e. the old philosophy especially the historical materialism analysis method generated when clearing Feuerbach philosophy and the understanding of the old communism when criticizing and clearing of the "real socialism". According to these two bases, Marx fully explained his new understanding of the communism on the basis of new height of the "History of the World":The communism is a realistic movement to eliminate the existing state.Part III is focused on discussion and analysis of the status and limitation of the communism idea in the "Ideology" i.e. the revolution of the philosophical mission is firstly realized from "explaining the World" to "changing the world", which opened the new starting point of philosophical study-"realistic individual" and firstly fully explained view of the materialist conception of history etc. Being richened by the materialist conception of history and practical point of view, the communism idea in the "Ideology" marks the preliminary formation of the scientific communism. However, Marx’s communism idea has still certain limitation because the study on the political economy was not still matured and deepened at that time.Part IV is focused on discussion and analysis of contemporary value of the communism idea in the "Ideology". It is believed in this paper that the contemporary significance mainly includes the three aspects i.e. the significance that we grasp spiritual essence of Marxism, significance that we must firm the communism belief and the significance that the socialist construction with Chinese characteristics is being conducted in our country.
