| Farmers’political participation is an important manifestation of the use of power and is the main content of the construction of grassroots democracy. China has been a large agricultural country with the countryside population dominant since ancient times, and its political participation is undoubtedly an important aspect of grassroots democracy. To a certain extent, the degree and level of farmers’political participation determine the overall development of China’s politic. Due to China’s vast territory, the development of political, economic, social and cultural is different, the depth and breadth of farmers’political participation also vary, and showing strong regional differences. Therefore this paper researches village H which is a typical village in geography and economic development, in order to reflect the actual situation of political participation in most villages.This paper mainly uses questionnaires and interviews to study the condition of farmers’ politic participation in village H. The paper first illustrates research background and research significance, we can grasp the whole condition of farmers’ politic participation through research overview. Most scholars hold the view that though there’s a great improvement on farmers’ politic participation, there’s still problems, such as the ability of farmers’politic participation is not strong, non-institutionalized ways of farmers’politic participation still exist. Through explaining some relevant theories of farmers’ political participation to elaborate the significance of farmers’ political participation; On the base of questionnaires and interviews we find that the level and degree of farmers’political participation in village H is not high enough,mainly through institutionalized ways but non-institutionalized ways and political apathy still exist. The influencing factors leading to these problems in village H generally are:main body factor, such as personal preference,education degree;economic factor, for example:the income is low and economical structure is unitary; political culture factors; including political acknowledgment, political feelings and political evaluation; So I figure out seven measures to extend political participation in village H, that is:First, vigorously flourish village economy, improve livelihoods to promote democracy; Second, accelerate the overall development of urban and rural, promote the construction of grassroots democracy. Third, build up farmers’ social organizations to tamp social foundation of farmers’ politic participation; Fourth, give full play to the role of education, enhance the level of participation of farmers; Fifth, take responsibility of the village elites, guiding orderly political participation; Sixth, effectively implement related system so as to provide system guarantee for political participation; Seventh, Learn from good practices scientifically and innovative modes of political participation. |
