An Analysis On Socialist Credit System Construction Through Food Safety Issues

Credibility is the cornerstone of the market economy. The integrity and trustworthiness are highly advocated both in China and abroad, enhancing each other completely. The credit system will be established and improved in all countries around the world. With the deepening of reform and opening-up, profound changes have taken place in various aspects of China such as in politics, economy, culture and so forth. However, at the same time, a variety of negative thoughts also flow into our society, especially the integrity and trustworthiness issue is becoming more and more serious, which causes all sectors of the society to attach great importance to. At present, the existing integrity and trustworthiness issue in China is closely related to all aspects of our society. For instance, there is little trust between people who are always impersonal and companies work on inferior building and marketing fake and shoddy goods. Some local governments with weak law enforcement have the phenomenon about the officials’ abuse of power for personal gains and many other examples. Among them, different kinds of dishonest behaviors appearing in the food industry including excessive pesticide residues, abuse of non-food additives, lack of standards in the processing cycle, being far from the quality standard, replacement of high-quality goods with shoddy and fake ones and so on, have made food safety issues become the focus of people’s attention.By analyzing the food safety issues and starting from the summarization and analysis about the current situations of food safety issues and their negative influence on the society, this paper pays much attention to discussing the reasons of these issues, concluding that lack of integrity and trustworthiness is the most important factor. By taking this example while based on the analysis about the general theory of integrity and trustworthiness, it makes analysis and discussion about the lack of integrity and trustworthiness issues in various fields at China’s socialist transition period at present, briefly analyzing the reasons from two aspects with system designing and ethics included. In the end, it intends to make recommendations on the credibility issues under market economy conditions at China’s socialist transition period.
