| Government’s credibility refers to the public trust degree simply,reflecting government’sinfluence on the society,reflecting the satisfaction and faith among the public for thegovernment,and we can see how public support and evaluate the goverment from it.Government’s public policy depends on its credibility,and the government’s credibility decidesthe political legitimacy of the government,measuring regime stability and social civilization asthe core of social trustworthiness system. Government’s credibility plays an important role in theeconomic and social development of the country. By enhancing the government’s credibility, itcan promote democratic development, strengthen legal system and secure the fairness and justicein the society,so it can promote the healthy development of economy and society. On the otherhand, enhancing the Government’s credibility can help reduce the resistance to policies andimprove the efficiency of policy implementation, thus save administrative costs.China is in the primary stage of socialism, china’s economic development and politicalreform are in progress. We have to pay close attention to the the research of government’scredibility. Foreign scholars made some research on the government’s credibility t from thepublic administration,public choice theory and so on, which also laid a good foundation for ourresearch, and provided a useful reference. In addition, with the gradual rise of the new publicmanagement movement,, both developed and developing countries are continuing to take reformmeasures, taking measures to improve their government’s credibility. Although there is somereference from foreign practices, but we should also formulate realistic policies to enhance ourgovernment’s credibility t based on our country’s actual conditions.This paper is based on our current national conditions, provideing an overview of thegovernment’s credibility, analyzing the situation of the government’s credibility,and proposingmeasures to enhance the government’s credibility t.It can be divided into the following sectionsspecificly:The first chapter is an introduction, and it describes the practical problems due to theweakening of the government’s credibility, arrives to of the important role of researching thegovernment’s credibility, and it describes the researches on this issue, explains the methods andideas of the research.The second chapter is an overview of the government’s credibility. First it expounds themeaning and characters of government’s credibility, followed by a description of the factorsaffecting the government’s credibility: political legitimacy, administrative acts, administrativeperformance and public awareness, and then discusses the evaluation criteria of government’s credibility, finally it’s the analysis to the meaning of enhancing government’s credibility.The third chapter analyzes the conditions of government’s credibility. It talks about thechanges of government’s credibility, analyzes the main problems and performances existing ino u r g o v e r n m e n t ’ s c r e d i b i l i t y, a n d d e s c r i b e s h a z a r d s, f i n d s o u t t h e r e s o n.The fourth chapter presents measures to enhance the credibility of our government. First, wemust accelerate the government to be legalization and be limitedy;second, we need to protect thepublic’s right to know and participate effectively;third, we should have rich supply in the formof public service;fourth, we must improve the supervision system continuously. |
