Swedish Study Democratic Socialist Model

The success of democratic socialism in Sweden is remarkable, the Swedish model hasbecome a model of the welfare state. Based on the investigation of Swedish democratic socialism,it further clarified the process of Sweden democratic socialism’s generation development andmaturation. With the accurate understanding of the connotation and the essence of Swedishdemocratic socialism，it accurately grasped the practical process and development trend ofdemocratic socialism in Sweden. This paper aims to study and learn from the historicalexperience of it, It promotes the construction of Chinese socialist harmonious society, andmotivates the development. of socialism with Chinese characteristics better and faster.This paper is divided into five chapters, and can be summed up in three parts:Firstly, it describes the theoretical basis of the Swedish model of democratic socialism andits theoretical propositions from a theoretical point of view. It reviews and elaborates thedemocratic socialism, as well as the history of the Swedish Social Democratic Party and theSwedish democratic socialism; it summarizes its three basic value principles--freedom,equalityand solidarity;it summarizes its four main theoretical propositions: the value of the choice of"People’s house", insisting of the reformism and revolution on the"the third way ", theconstruction of the social welfare system.Secondly, it summarizes the practical significance,crises and challenges of the Swedishdemocratic socialist model from a practical level. Its practical significance mainly includes threeaspects: shaping a highly egalitarian society values, establishing a more comprehensive socialsecurity system,and developing a vibrant economy. And it analysis the crisis of the Swedishdemocratic socialism objectively, the shortcomings of welfare policy, and the challenges whichthe Social Democratic Party faced.Finally, by comparing the Swedish democratic socialism with Chinese characteristics, itrecognizes the fundamental differences and the contacts between the two, and it provides arelatively specific policy and institutional learning for the development of socialism incontemporary China. By comparing the results, we can get the socialism with Chinesecharacteristics is the right choice of contemporary China.
