Security Research Rural Children Left Behind

Since China’s reform and opening up, with the deepening of economic system reform and the propulsion of modernization progress, more than two hundred and sixty million rural labor forces have come into city for work. Due to the rural-urban divide household registration system and relevant education, health care, social security related to it, coupled with unstable job, low income level, the migrant workers have to leave their children in rural areas. Thus, a special and large vulnerable group has formed-rural left-behind children.Childhood is not only the critical period for body development, personality cultivation and knowledge accumulation, but also the main period of individual socialization. Because of the unstable family structure, lack of parental care and education, rural left-behind children’s lives have been affected a lot, in which, security has evoked widespread concern as it’s connected to the healthy growth of left-behind children closely. Rural left-behind children’s safe and healthy growth is not only related to stability and unity of rural households, but also related to China’s Coordinative development of urban-rural area and social harmony and stability.In order to accurately understand the current situation of the security problems of the children left behind in rural areas, this research went into the rural area, into the left-behind children’s families, through field investigation of various types of safety accidents happened to the left-behind children, found the safety risk in the left-behind children’s life, analyzed the cause of rural left-behind children’s safety problems, and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions. I hope this research would help the rural left-behind children’s family, schools, society and government agencies to recognize rural left-behind children safety problems and could provide some references for implement the related works.This article firstly introduced various security problems in rural left-behind children’s lives, elaborating with the real examples we searched in the investigation and comparative analyzing from different angles to get deep understanding of it. And then, analysis the internal and external factors of rural left-behind children’s safety problem cross the country by combining with the related departments, research institutes and experts’ related research. Finally, this article put forward countermeasures and suggestions for the rural left-behind children’s safety problem with four aspects-family, school, society and government.To solve the security problems of the left-behind children in rural areas is a long-term and complex process, not only requires the government departments to attaches great importance to it, but also need more concern and support from the public. Only if by considering with the nation’s future, the economic development, social harmony to understanding the problem of left-behind children in rural areas, putting the interests of the rural left-behind children into the first place, carrying out related works earnestly, can the rural left-behind children’s safety problems be settled well, can the people’s livelihood can be ensured and improved, can the people share the reform development achievement.
