After the founding of New China in1949, the nation-building started by building water conservancy project and railway transportation hub, resulting in tens of millions of immigrants.In the early1980s, Chinese government paid more attention on the ecological environment, making an effort to seeking economic development and improve the environment, for the purpose of helping the poor ecological migration project commenced in China’s north, northwest and southwest region. Over the past years, these two groups organized by the government relocation project immigration and ecological migrants showed the high reliability to government and negative. Involuntary resettlement project and relevant issues has also been criticized by the academic community.Wenchang Village’s ethnic minority immigrantion started voluntary resettlement in1979based on a Qiang-Han interracial marriage. The numbers of immigrants moved to Wenchang village up to more than300households till the summer of2012. The immigration process of Wenchang Village can be divided into two stages. The first stage is before the Wenchuan earthquake. Qiang women married to Han of Wenchang village. Immigrants during this period are qiang from Maoxian;The second stage is since2008Wenchuan earthquake. Tibetans moved to Wenchang village by kinship bond with the qiang immigrants and through the purchase of existing houses and land in wenchang village. Immigrants during this period are tibetans from Heishui.These two parts gradually develop into the current situation of Wenchang Village’ ethnic minority immigrants.This paper described the process of Qiang and Tibetans in the Wenchang Village of Sichuan Province completed spontaneous voluntary resettlement in the case of without any outside force, consist of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly introduces the origin and research methods, combing the research literature on voluntary resettlement and involuntary resettlement at home and abroad. The second chapter showed the immigration process and12Qiang-Han intermarriage cases of Wenchang village before the wenchuan earthquake. Chapter3presented us the process of expansion of the kinship network between the ethnic minority immigrants. Chapter4described cultural adaptation of ethnic minority immigrants from natural environment and social environment two sides. Chapter5is conclusion part.In this paper, author summarized the "self-responsibility" consciousness of voluntary resettlement and the "self-responsibility" consciousness has played an active role in the voluntary migration process.
