Song Title Picture Book Traces Studied

Paintings and poetry has a long history in Chinese painting, as the Song Dynasty is the important period of its development. Combining with literature records, this paper investigates paintings from the Song Dynasty. Based on different authors, various content and three of the most common forms, this thesis tries to analysis the relationship between paintings and poetry, and its age, author as well as the subject. The emergence of literati paintings in the Song Dynasty is the core focus of this paper. In Chapter2,1will focus on exploring the literati paintings’ painting aesthetics ideology and its external form. In addition, Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty palys an important role in the presence of the paintings and poetry. So he is also one of the focuses of this thesis.
