The essay, first of all, gives a brief explanation for the selection of the topic forthe essay. Let’s carefully taste the following two lines of poems:“Monopolizing plumto sweep December snow, fine askance mountain dance and the river flow”. The firstline “Monopolizing plum to sweep December snow” is the partials of “do、re、mi、fa、so、la、si”in the numbered musical notation, and the second line “Lookingfine askance mountain dance and the river flow”, is also the homophonic of “1、2、3、4、5、6、7” in southern dialects of Zhejiang area. Jin Wei, the main character, forwhom the essay will research, is also from Shanghai. A few intentions for selectingthe topic lie in the following respects. First, this is an essay on music, and the twolines of poem above is just right to be adopted from the partials of musical alphabetand roll in the musical numbered notation; Second, the subject of the essay is about“the exploration of JinWei’s artistic charming in playing sorts of Erhu musicalinstruments”. JinWei, as a “giant master of Qin School” not only has he achieved agreat deal in Erhu, but extensively covered the research and playing of all kinds ofHuqin as many as7sorts such as Banhu, Zhonghu, Gaohu, Zhuihu, Qinhu, Erxianzi,Zhuhu, which just right symphonically shines with the poem “Looking fine askancemountain dance and the river flow”. Third, in terms of the poem literally, the essayintends to express the influence and devotions to the whole “Erhu of Qin School” withJinWei’s self-faction and unique playing style. He has been sticking to and strugglingin the front of Chinese national music. His lofty and unyielding character just like theplum without fearing the cold and the spirit of assimilating the essence and rejectingthe dross, the unremitting seeking and purchasing the Erhu arts, and the heritage anddevelopment of playing arts in the music instruments of Huqin sorts are just the dearmodels for us to learn.
