Our study mainly focuses on the historical developments of Bowled-Noingerboraded- Huqin of Bowed Instruments and formation of different characteristics of inheritance systems. In our opinion, the basic characteristic of Bowled Huqin is the structural mode of "no-fingerboard & overhanging-string". Cause of above play mode, the Bowled Huqin which runs the bow-hairs between the two strings, has been an instrument which is independent of other Chinese traditional instruments. So the point of investigating the historical development of this instrument should be the play mode of "no-fingerboard & overhanging-string", rather than traditional thoughts which focused on the bow or bamboo-slips that were also used in other instruments. The definition of this play mode "non-fingerboard & overhanging-strings" has been one of the milestones in the process of exploring the origin of Bowled Huqin. Based on the original words and related literatures, combining of analyzing culture background of literatures, we think that Xiqin maybe not evolve from Xiantao, disagree with'popular points Xiqin is root in Xiantao'toady. Actually Xiqin and Xiantao just resemble in the external shape. The definition of this play mode, helped us to make right judgment for the historical development of Bowled Huqin. In this study, we think that the Xiqin in Tang and song dynasties had been the mature instrument rather than the rudiment state in general opinion.Along with Chinese ancient history, the Bowled Huqin differentiated into two branches. One was named'Hu-system'which merged Han minority culture together. The other was named "Erxian'that was used in Nanguan in southern Fujian. These inherited systems reflected the features in different periods, regions and cultures. At the same time, they also reflected the multicultural development of Bowled Huqin in Chinese history. This study listed, contrasted and analyzed the related historical literatures about Chinese Bowled Huqin. Based on above works, combining rethinking of each part of this instrument by historical view, this study concluded its historical developed tendency'uniform in macroscopic view, multiplex in microscopic view'.
