Proverbs is an important part of folk oral literature. It is also one of the treasures of Chinese culture heritage. It is one of the ancient literary styles, representing the Chinese folk literature and cultural characteristics. It has influences on Chinese culture and literature. Since morden times, scholars throw more and more interest in proverbs. Wei-jin southern and northern Dynasties is a very special period in Chinese history. Proverbs in this period is fairly rich. the research on it is of great significance. Now, the study on the proverbs of wei-jin southern and northern Dynasties are fragmentary and scattered. Based on this situation, this paper studies on the following aspects.The introduction part:firstly, review the research situation on the proverbs of wei-jin southern and northern Dynasties; secondly, study the collection of the related research achievements of monographs, documents and materials in this historical period; thirdly, put forward some views in this paper as the significance of topic selection and its research Angle and train of thought.The main part of the thesis include four chapters. Part one, the definition of proverbs prevue, the generalize of the situation of proverbs and compiling the comb. Part two, discuss the content of the proverbs which in wei jin southern and northern dynasties and the author into the discourse and textual research. This period is a very special period in the history of our country, which is blighted, nation apart, and regime change frequently. The proverbs in this period records and reflects the social reality at that time, which contains rich content include war proverbs, political proverbs, hatred proverbs, life experience, life philosophy, proverbs, etc. This part classifies the combing of its content, and discuss the author of proverbs.Part three, analyze the literature characteristics of the proverbs from the literature point. First, the sentence patterns, words, figures of speech, the respect such as rhyme, artistic characteristics is analyzed. Then discusses its the relationship of inheritance and innovation in art form, points. The second Section, deals with the evaluation of the proverbs and the influence of proverbs on literary creation. Part four, discuss the value of proverbs, from the aspects of historical, political and society; and then discuss the situation of the proverbs into history and the meaning.
