Anban site is one of the most important Neolithic sites which locates in the west part of River Wei Basin. After many years’archaeological excavation and research, the archaeological remains of Anban Site can divided to three phases, Anban I, Anban II and Anban Ⅲ, Which equivalent to the middle, late Yangshao Culture, and early Longshan Culture. In2012archaeological excavation,96flotation soil samples are collected from ashes, ditches, kilns, the housing sites, tombs. Base on the identification and analysis of plant remains, in Anban I and Anban II period, foxtail millet and broomcorn millet are the major crops in the agricultural economy, small amount of soybean used as supplementary; In Anban Ⅲ, millet, soybean, rice and wheat are all found, Agricultural economy changed to multi-cropping system, which focus on foxtail millet, and supplemented by rice, soybean and wheat. Lots of carbonized wild seeds are found, such as Bristlegrass, which was brought to the site during harvest, some plant seeds like Chenopodiaceae, Leguminosae were picked to the site for food or livestock. Further study will focus on the usage of these wild species in ancient life.
