Research On Social Effect Of Cultural Industries

Through the analysis of the social benefits of cultural industry, this paper demonstrates that cultural industry can enhance the competitiveness of a city, the sustainable economic and social development and boost the happiness index of the citizens as well. Based on these social benefits, the author intends to observe the status quot of the cultural industry development in Xi’an so as to find some solutions to those existing problems.This paper mainly summarizes the characteristics of the research made on cultural industry at home and abroad, and shows the research object and the research content. Moreover, this paper also explains the rationality and feasibility of the subject selection, states the research methods, and then puts forward the anticipated goals. By investigating the characteristics of the cultural industry development areas both home and abroad, especially by comparatively analyzing these typical regions, the paper is intended to have a further understanding of the social benefits of the cultural industry.Based on the research made on the cultural industry developed regions, it can be concluded that the social benefits of cultural industry mainly include enhancing regional competitiveness, guaranteeing the sustainable economic and social development and promoting residents happiness index. By doing so, the social benefits of cultural industry can be specifically defined.In accordance with the fact that cultural industries generally have social benefits, this thesis concretely analyzed Xi’an residents’perception of cultural industry, the present situation and the existing problems of Xi’an cultural industry development. Furthermore, this paper explicitly pointed out that the development of Xi’an cultural industry should follow the requirement of bringing social benefits into full play. Meanwhile this thesis also points out that in order to have a mutual complementation and mutual promotion between cultural industry development and regional economic and social development, solutions should be found to cope with those problems emerging in the course of the cultural industry development.
