Yuan Jue And Poetic Research

Yuan Jue is an achievement poet and writer,who live in the early Yuan Dynasty. According to my reading, he has always been little for academic concern. Only a few influential literary history book pay attention to him. In recent years, the research about Yuan Jue has become deep. He has been researched from many angles. On the whole, the research about Yuan Jue is important. Some aspects about him still need to study, such as the research of his life. the research of his writings, the research of his writings’ versions, the research of his poetics concept and his poetry history concept.In this thesis, I try to research Yuan Jue and his literature. In addition to the introduction, this thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is research the life of Yuan Jue and his writings’versions. First,I try to research his family tree. In the first section, I focus on his birth and death years, and his name, try to study the reason which cause the error of his birth and death years, try to distinguish the basis of Yangzhi, Qingrongjushi and Jianyijushi, and discriminate the order of the years of Qingrongzhai, Qingrongxuan and Qingrong that is one of his name. In section two, I try to research WU CHAO SHI LU and CHENG HUAI LU which may not be his writings, study the versions of QING RONG JU SHI JI and YAN YOU SI MING ZHI.In the second chapter, I research Yuan Jue’s friends and there is a list attached to this paper. In section one, I set Dai Biaoyuan,Wang Yinglin and Shi Yuanzhi as examples, introduce Yuan Jue’s friends early time in jiangnan. in the second section, I set Yu Ji, Jie Xisi, Fan Peng, Yang Zai, Ma Zuchang and GongKui Yang as examples, and research Yuan Jue’s civilian official friends during him working as the king’s officer; set Ming Ben,Zhang Liusun,Wu Quanjie,Xue Xuanxi as examples, and research Yuan Jue’s friends of Buddhism and Taoism.The third chapter is on Yuan Jue’s poetics. In the first section, I research Yuan Jue’s reflections on neo-confucianism of the poem,the jiangxi poetry, and the evaluation of the "four spirit", to find the relation between Yuan Jue’s poetics and the theme of the song dynasty poetics concept. In section two, through "six righteousness","wind","elegant","ode" concepts which Yuan Jue interested. I try to discuss his poetics which relates to Confucian poetics. In the third section, I try to discuss benchmarkings which Yuan Jue used to evaluate the poetry of others, and the theory of writing poetry.
