With the rapid development of Internet technology, more and more people come in contact with the Internet and deeply depend on it. People can freely obtain information, reading and writing, shopping online and so on. Internet has penetrated into people’s life in many ways, brought infinite convenient and fun for our daily life. While there is no denying that to some people, the internet is a wide rambling and strolling space. Among the people, we find a special group, they ramble in the broad net space, reading and writing. Then we think of the flaneurs in19th century’s Paris and in Baudelaire’s literature, Benjamin had found and researched on them. Though the internet rambling is different with the19th, we think that the flaneurs are never out of the eyes of Benjamin. Then we find its extension in the net space by discussing the internet reading and writing.We know that Benjamin find some problems and characteristics of city flaneurs in the modernization process, the modernity caused Benjamin’s deep reflection, especially the flaneur literati. So we select a special groups in the net space to discuss, here we call them internet writers and readers, they more or less have some common with the Benjamin’s city flaneurs. The more important is, flaneurs had the psychological experience and cultural traits of their times, even they also reflected certain social problems, and these characteristics are worthy of our attention and inquiry. Accordingly based on the analysis of the reading, writing and rambling in the net space. Then we try to survey and criticize the phenomenon from various views, which is mainly based on Benjamin’s research achievements. At the same time we need extent the meaning and connotation of flaneur, giving it some characteristics of the age.The thesis is comprised of three parts, the introduction, the text and the conclusion, among which the text is divided into three chapters.The introduction Firstly based on the internet media and Benjamin, we put forward the image of flaneur and point out its research value and meaning. After sum up the research on the topic, we provide the thesis’s research methods and ideas.Chapter one We analyse and grasp the flaneur theoretical by Benjamin and we will mainly point out that at the time around the flaneur’s situation. Especially in the capitalist modernization, the era characteristics and cultural phenomenon that they present.Chapter two In this chapter, we used a large of words to classify and sum up the reading and writing situation in recent years of the net space. Then we find that reading and writing ways are both particular, of course this also is the main change in internet literature and art.Chapter three After the above discussion and analysis, we come up with the image of "Internet flaneur" and try to unscramble and reflect on it from various angles in cultural research. For example the lonely psychology and survival condition of them, as well they have some resistance and critical consciousness. Their unique discourse expression and creation also rich and influence the current internet culture in a certain sense.The conclusion Through the whole article’s discussion, we combine with the interpretation about flaneur by Benjamin. We think that the research on internet flaneur is necessary and meaningful and we draw some conclusions. For example the flaneur can be used as a literary and aesthetic criticism subject, they have the specific era of cultural and spiritual qualities and so on. So we should regard it as an important cultural phenomenon.
