On The Comprehensive Material's Performance In Painting

As mixed‐media art became more and more popular in contemporary art, they have provoked more and more thoughts and attention by artists. Mixed‐media art first appeared in20century Europe, and artists in China started to use them in the80s. The introduction and usage of mixed‐media art in the Chinese art scene are natural tendencies of the development of art, and they fits the general law of art. For artists, improving the techniques of mixing media and utilizing the language of mixed media have become a must study course. For collectors and audience, the understanding and thinking on such contemporary type of art are also very important. This article discusses about the concept, meaning and practical usage of mixed media art, through art history, case studies, and thoughts based on making mixed media art, giving personal insights based on previous artists’ practice and thoughts.
