The formation of National Humiliation Day is the performance of Chinese people break the traditional concept’s shackles, and as the collective burst forth of the new ages citizens’patriotic emotion. So, the course of National Humiliation Day gradually developed until it has been established to be the official standardization "National Memorial Day" witnesses the track of Chinese people against foreign aggression, save the nation from extinction, look forward to national independence and national prosperity.Throughout the hundred years history of Modern China, Sino-Japanese relations affect the track of Chinese history. Since the First Sino-Japanese War in1894, Japanese careerism of aggress against China had increased with the enhancement of their own strength. From Treaty of Shimonoseki, to Twenty-one Demands, then they sent troops to Qingdao, made Jinan Tragedy, encroached on Chinese northeast after Mukden Incident, and then made comprehensive aggression against China after Marco Polo Bridge Incident, the Japanese made the military aggression progress of full forcibly occupied China step by step, which causing a grave disaster to Chinese people. However, looking at so many modern Chinese National Humiliation Day, since the first National Humiliation Day,"May9th "National Humiliation Day established after Yuan Shikai government to accept Twenty-one Demands, the following National Humiliation Day that causing the most deep pain and the most deep-seated memories to Chinese people, such as "May3rd " National Humiliation Day, were caused, directly or indirectly, by the Japanese invaders.
