Robert Schumann (1810-1856) was a famous German composer and influential music critic. As one of the representatives of the romanticism musicians in the early half of the19th century in Europe, Robert Schumann had created an array of amazing musical works and the advanced musical concepts of romanticism embodied by him substantially promoted the development of German music in the19th century. The musical aesthetics characterized by emotion served as the core of Schumann’s musical ideology. He gave much prominence to the important role emotion played in artistic works and followed this principle throughout his career of musical creation. The liedereyclus created in the year1840, Frauenliebe und Leben, where he interpreted the ups and downs of a woman’s lifetime love experience with his simple and earnest melody, was the typical classic of Schumann at the peak of his musical creation.
