Kafka Novel Exotic Image

The image world of Kafka’s novel has rich connotations. But the research always analysis of the novel with a macro perspective, ignored the systematic study of image world, especially the exotic image. I think that the research of image world can reveal the core meaning of the novel, help the reader more better understand the spiritual content of novel which given the complexity of the characters. Therefore, analysis of the world of Kafka’s novel image, has significance to explore the themes which express the characteristics.This article using exotic image as the research object, combining image study of comparative literature theory and methods to analysis of the ideological connotation of Kafka. The main purpose is to explore the exotic image of the particularity to establish self-identity and the importance of the inner meaning of the novel of Franz Kafka and limitations. According to the content, we can comprehend from two aspects of Social collective imagination which is Utopia and ideologies. American and China is based on groups of imagination, using entrifugal cognitive of dissimilarity to create the exotic image with the special discourses. However, Russia, Arab, Italy are very different. They are rendered as "Another" which concluded the basic values of groups.This paper is divided into four parts.The introduction firstly clarify the significance and value of the image research. Then elaborating the image of the theoretical basis, pointing the position of exotic image, and combing present situation at home and abroad.The second part the analysis of the novel American and The Great Wall of China. In these novels, The United States as the background of protagonist has a similar outermost layer with the real American, while Overall social characteristics of the era was totally difference. This contrast is indicative of the illusion which created by the author, in order to express his understanding of freedom and exile and the aspirations of holy wish. Analysis of the latter based on the concept of Western culture on China’s image, Analysis of referential relationship of the Great Wall and the Western image of China in the text, by deconstruction of the purpose, construction method and meaning of the Great Wall, to view the re-creation of another and introspection about oneself and their own social in the western concept of China. The third part analysis of the Russia, Arab, and Italy image in Judgment, Jackals, Arabs and The Hunter Gracchus. In Judgment, the friend in Russia of the mystery of existence has deep relations with "revolution", and author just use the characteristics of the times of Russia to express himself. The latter novel describe a draw about liberation and depression in Arab, reflecting the thinking and understanding of human society. The last novel:The Hunter Gracchus is unusual. The other country are imagine objects, but the Italy is the place that Kafka often went. It contains the author’s puzzle of the existence and the opinion of death. Its referentiality is that the hunt’s drift metaphor for author’s unfavorable situation, and from this, Interpretation of the existence of the presence of over.The epilogue summarizes the paper, combined with the writers of the background and other novels to generalization and grasp integrally to ideological connotations of five novels. Trough depth exploration the particularity of exotic image in Kafka’s novel, reach conclusion that these images for us to understanding the original meaning of the world in Kafka’s novel and Realistic Significance of strengthen self-identity.
