Hexi is a Panhu solo which was composed by the Erhu performer and composer Yuhan.In order to exhibit the joyful scene of Northern Jiangsu peasants congratulatingto each other, large amount of unique glide has been utilized in the work. The specialmelody rooted in traditional culture has been warmly welcomed by people from allwalks of life.This essay is divided into four parts:“introduction”,“analysis of musicallanguage in Hexi”,“understanding and performance disposal of Hexi” and“artistic features of Hexi”. The “introduction” part mainly discussed thedevelopment of Panhu, the information of the composer and the background of the work,etc. The “analysis of musical language in Hexi” part did research on musicalstructure, motive advancement, orchestration analysis etc. The “understanding andperformance disposal of Hexi” part mainly talked about my understanding of thecontent shown in Hexi and my research on its playing method. The “artistic featuresof Hexi” part was narrated from two aspects---the composing techniques and culturalfeatures of the musical composition. It is expected that through the all-aroundanalysis of Hexi, contributions can be devoted to artistic development.
