The work takes Zhao Nanxing’s poem as the main research object, and talks about Zhao Nanxing’s life and his circle of friends. At the same time, the work also makes a preliminary comparison between his poem and Sanqu. This article has three parts:introduction, four chapters body, and conclusion.The introduction part analysis the background of Zhao Nanxing’s life, explains the need for system study of Zhao Nanxing’s poem, summaries the research status of Zhao Nanxing’s poem and Sanqu, and proposes the research methods and research ideas.The first chapter introduces Zhao Nanxing’s life, family, friends and poetic theory. The history of the Ming Dynasty records Zhao Nanxing’s life in detail. The senior scholars has mentioned the error.This article is intended to provide new material evidence to proof scholar’s statement. Academic circles pay little attention to Zhao Nanxing’s family and his circle of friends,.In fact, as the important government official of late Ming Dynasty official, Zhao Nanxing has a large circle of friends. Also because he is of noble character and high prestige, his students are too many to be counted. This paper approaches Zhao Nanxing’s circle of friends from three angles: teachers, friends, and students, and focuses on those who have important influence on his literary creation.Zhao Nanxing doesn’t write poetic theory book specially, but through reading his works, especially the preface he wrote for other people’s collections, it is not difficult to find that Zhao Nanxing’s poetic theory has the characteristics of paying close attention to "fun","simple"and the reality.The second chapter probes into poetic creation mentality of Zhao Nanxing. In this chapter, Zhao Nanxing’s creation is divided into three periods:assuming office as local government official in Runing, assuming office as central government official in capital and home stays period. In the first period. Zhao Nanxing’s poetry creation is mostly to send free, so there are a lot of poems on scenery. After transferred to Beijing, Zhao Nanxing witnesses the major event, and he is on bad terms with Zhang Juzheng, so he writes poems to express his dissatisfaction. So in the second period, satirical works become mainstream.The quantity of poem increases by a wide margin when Zhao Nanxing staying at home, and the creation mentality is also more complex, such as sending free, expressing his sorrow for the Ming Dynasty and the old sense.The third chapter is a further study of language art of Zhao Nanxing’s poem. This chapter mainly concerns three aspects:allusion, contrast and reduplicated word. It is not difficult to find that Zhao Nanxing likes using allusions of hermit in his poems, especially the allusion of Tao Yuanming. And the using of the contrast is mainly to set off his tragic fate, express the change of time, and attack the darkness of the current political situation. Reduplicated words are mainly appear in the poem on scenery. They can help form the beauty of imagery.The fourth chapter focuses on the comparison between Zhao Nanxing’s poetry and Sanqu.Differences between the two is mainly reflected in the subject matter, the theme of prostitute which is rarely seen in Zhao Nanxing’s poems becomes the most important theme of his Xiaoling works. And the similarity of the two in that they were both used by Zhao Nanxing to criticize the Ming Dynasty.The conclusion sums up the whole thesis. Study on Zhao Nanxing’s poems can not only read poet’s upright personality, but also know Zhao Nanxing’s rough life as the leader of Donglin Party in-depth, understanding the way of a intellectual with a social conscience to see the late Ming Dynasty.
