The Study Of Zhao Fan's Poetry

Zhao Fan and Han Biao, they were both Southern Song Dynasty poets who were known as "The Shangrao Er Quan". They had a large amount of poems left over and their works had great achievement and impact on the Southern Song Dynasty poetry. Meanwhile, Zhao Fan is especially famous for his poetic achievement and value. He has made great contribution and has always been praised by people.This paper is carried out on the theme of research of Zhao Fan's poetry. The introduction part focuses mainly on the research purpose and significance of Zhao Fan's poetry study at home and abroad.The first part of this paper introduces Zhao Fan's life and works, era background, life experience, the state of mind and poetic creation influence.The second part is about Zhao Fan's the poetry source and poetic view. First of all, based on the three aspects, being a member of Jiangxi Poetry School, Conscious Inheritance School and Inheriting "Living Principle" school, this paper discusses Zhao Fan's contribution of theoretical inheritance and poetic development to Jiangxi Poetry School. Then, the study is based on the "resemblance between learning poetry and Zen philosophy" basis to understand Zhao Fan's poetic philosophy and Zen thoughts, on the "Poetic Resemblance Standard" to discuss his imitation and respect for his predecessors, on the "Scale and Momentum standard" to analyze his value on academic self-restraint and knowledge accumulation.In addition, with the study of his lyric poetry, his patriotism is revealed by the sorrow feeling for his own country, noble sentiment is shown by his graceful and noble chanting poetry and his rural reclusion feelings for enjoying his poor life is reflected by his hermit poetry. The discussion is carried out in the third part in terms of the three aspects to explain his poetic ideology.The fourth section introduces Zhao Fan artistic poetry features. With regard to the theme content and writing styles, Zhao Fan adopted straight description to express daily life themes and finally formed his own artistic characteristics that could be regarded as the style of writing a text as a poem with ancient and elegant taste based on the simple and plain principle.Finally, a summary and evaluation is presented about Zhao Fan's poetic point of view, poetic achievement, personal characteristics and his status in the literature history and also would clarify a position for his poetry and his role in the poetry world as to get a comprehensive and systematic research on his poetry.In short, as a poet, Zhao Fan has achieved impressive influence and a noticeable status in the Southern Song Dynasty. He was influenced by the Jiangxi Poetry School while in the meantime did not confine himself in it. He participated in the formation of the Southern Song Dynasty poetry summit and made his own contribution and influence to the late Southern Song Dynasty poetry in particular.
