Unrestraint Put This Subtle

This paper is mainly concerning about discussion of origins and interrelations between Du Fu’s poems and Su Shi’s poems. Actually, this issue is not novelty in the category of Tang poems and Song poems, which many scholars dedicate their researches to. Predecessors also mention this opinion, absorb essence and take a reference from their talking in their works and shihua(诗话). However, these works did not completely cover these topics. Based on Dufa(theories of Du Fu’s poetry) in theory, this article attempts to figure out the roots and expansions from Du Fu’s poems to Su Shi’s poems.Part one discusses of the interrelationships among several substantial concepts in Weng Fanggang’s advocacy of you Su ru Du(theory of approaching Du Fu through Su Shi), such as jingwei (refinement and detail),jili(poetry texture) and Dufa. And then set Dufa as the essential standpoint of the article.Part two traces the original relation of intellectual content included in the discussion, specifically expressed through two aspects:critical spirit and ways of narration.Part three discusses the structure of poetry by cifa,jufa, zhangfa of Du Fu’s poetry and Su Shi’s poetry.Insisting on the content and meanwhile seeking expansion of spirit is the essence and connotation of adhering to orthodox and inquiring completely into artistry variation that displayed in Dufa. This article also states that Du Fu and Su Shi’s broad personality and mentality, and nuances of poetics all without exception base on this standpoint. And it also is the base that Su Shi’s poems get the quintessence of Du Fu’s poems.
