Dong Kang, a famous scholar in Republic of China, enjoys high academic reputations in drama research, storing, printing and editing ancient books, Chinese history, legal research and reformation, etc. Shu Bo Yong Tan, published before, which is named as Dong Kang’s Journals to East at present, is what this thesis paper discusses. The book is mainly about the records written by Dong Kang when he was in Japan from1926to1936. For its complex contents, the thesis paper will do the researches as following two points. From one hand, through selecting Dong Kang’s research work on Dun Huang documents, e.g. searching, copying, proofreading and publishing, according to the book, to discover the invisible connections between Dong Kang and Dun Huangnology. As a result, the academic history in Dunhuangnology will be more abundant. From the other hand, through concluding the social communication between Dong Kang and Japanese Scholars, also according to the book, to illustrate the contact among those people, which will provide vivid materials for Sino-Japan association history.
