Referring to environment and geographic element including rivers and mountains, burial cultural zones consist of Shule River, Heihe River and Shiyanghe River watersheds from west to east in Wei,Jin and Sixteen States Dynasties period in western Gansu Province, especially burial located in the Heihe River area should be analysed deeply as a result of burial characteristic, particular cultural phenomenon and relevant research databases. After reviewed these cultural phenomenon and research results, burials should be differentiated two different categories which consist of brick chambered tombs and catacombs, each description also was divided into several items according to burial architecture structure and typical artefacts by archaeological typology theory. The review approach allows the author to raise many questions about the current state of chronology and to offer a possible or part answer. These problems include that these chambers or niches how to change and these copper or pottery objects how to transform. As a result, these burial periodization was divided into "Wei Dynasty to Jin Dynasty’s middle term","Jin Dynasty’s last term to Sixteen States Dynasties’ early term " and "Sixteen States Dynasties’ last term" reference to artefacts characteristic form neighbouring cemeteries. For these reasons,it is probable that structure and artifact transformation was happened in the context of western Gansu Province history processes.
