Fengxian locates in the northwest of Jiangsu Province,and it is in the juncture offour provinces,which are Jiangsu,Anhui,Shangdong,Henan.Fengxian dialect belongs to Zhongyuan Mandarin,It’s phonological features arein common with other Zhongyuan Mandarins,but also different with eachother.Different scholars have different views in which internal dialect in ZhongyuanMandarin Fengxian dialect belongs to.The paper makes a thorough reach study on the pronunciation and vocabularyof Fengxian dialact based on the fieldwork.On account of the less studies and lessfruits,this investigation may make up for the deficiency,and provide languagematerials for Xuzhou dialect.In addition,because of the unique geographicalposition,Fengxian dialect presents a different characteristics.The researches ofFengxian dialect have positive significance for explore the differences of dialectinternal,dialect contact and influences.The paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is an introduction to the evolution of Fengxian,its geographicalposition and the administrative regionalization as well as the language survey,andalso introduces the marks as well as the co-worker of pronunciation used in thisarticle,and the related research results.The second chapter,describes the phonetic system of Fengxian dialect,mainlydescribes the initial consonants,vowels and tone of voice.On this basis,the paper alsohave a further description of the phonological features,and describes the changes ofpronunciation and tones,including the changes of tone sandhi and”er”.The third chapter compare Fengxian dialect to the middle ancient times.Use thesoftware”TFD”,we can see the historical evolution of Fengxian dialect.The fourth chapter is the homophony syllabary.The fifth chapter do a special subject research to the word system of Fengxiandialect.The last chapter is the monographic study of the evolution of Zhi,Zhuang,Zhangin Fengxian dialect,and compare it with Jinan,Hefei,Yangzhou.
