The development of Chinese promotes the spreading of Chinese all over theworld. As the number of Chinese learner soaring, the requirement of Chinese teachingas a second language became more diverse. Chinese song teaching, based on the basicteaching method, has its unique significance and effects in Chinese teaching.This essay analyzes and summarizes the relationship between music andlanguage, as well as the significances and effects of Chinese songs used in teachingChinese as a foreign language. On the basis of this theory, the author devises the formof a second classroom opened to teach Chinese song as the main content courses, andselect a song as an example to compile the teaching materials and lesson plans, forproviding a reference for the researchers and teachers of teaching Chinese as aforeign language. Mainly research methods used in this essay is literature research,interdisciplinary research and case analysis and so on.This paper consists of five parts:The first chapter is the introduction. It introduces the origin and significance ofthe topics of this article, the literature review and the research methods.The second chapter is the relationship between music and language learning. It isdivided into three areas: the relationship between music and language; music andsecond language acquisition; analysis of music with the help of language learningfrom a psychological point of view. This chapter is the theoretical basis of this essay.The third chapter is the significances and effects of Chinese song used inteaching Chinese as a foreign language. There are eight areas: help to arouse students’interest in learning; help to enhance students’ dominant learning; help to enhance thestudents’ memory of the Chinese; help to improve pronunciation accuracy; help toexpand vocabulary; conducive to the practice and mastery of gramma; help studentsto read materials more Rhetoric; understanding of Chinese culture.The fourth chapter is the use of Chinese songs for Teaching Chinese as a ForeignLanguage teaching and learning activities, which is the keynote of this essay. Thissection introduces the concept of the course named “The Chinese Song”, including the course set, written in the course materials and the course design. On this basis, Iselect a song as an example to compile the teaching materials and lesson plans.The fifth chapter is the conclusion, which summarizes this essay, clarify ideas,and put forward the question which should be explored in depth.
