JiangXi’s Classical Chinese novels of the late Ming Dynasty studied in this thesisare novels of the writers from Jiangxi Province: Zhu Mengzhen, LiuYuanQing, ZhengZhongkui, Chen Hongxu’s classical Chinese novels during the Longqing period (1567)and Chongzhen (1644) period. This thesis attempts to interpret the late Ming DynastyJiangxi classical Chinese novelist Zhu Mengzhen, Liu Yuanqing, Zheng Zhongkui,Chen Hongxu’s works on the basis of sorting the original documentation, materials andtext close reading. The thesis consists of six parts:Introduction: the significance of thesis, literary review of the research on late MingDynasty’s classical Chinese novels, research idea and methods of the thesis.Chapter One: verification of the life and works of the Jiangxi late Ming Dynastyclassical Chinese novelists: Zhu Mengzhen, Liu Yuanqing, Zheng Zhongkui, ChenHongxu.Chapter two: categorized study on the Jiangxi late Ming Dynasty classical Chinesenovels. On the basis of referring to Hu Yinglin’s novel theory in Ming Dynasty and JiJun’s novel theory in Qing Dynasty, according to the actual development status ofclassical Chinese novels, make the synthesis, conclusion and simplification. Accordingto the genre and content, the late Ming Dynasty classical Chinese novels are mainlycategorized as the mystery novels and depicting humanity (anecdote) novels. Themystery novels can be divided into three categories: supernatural spirit, fairy tale andomen novels. Depicting humanity (anecdote) novels can be detailed divided into threecategories: selection, anecdote, joke novels.Chapter three: the artistic features of Jiangxi classical Chinese novels in Late MingDynasty, elaborating detailed from the linguistic art and character images perspective.Chapter four: the influence of Jiangxi late Ming Dynasty classical Chinese novels.Appendix: concise edition Chronology of Zhu Mengzhen. By referring theCollection of Zhu Mengzhen as the main material, the chronology of Zhu Mengzhen’slife, official career, and friend circle is sorted out; according to the Collection of ZhuMengzhen, the simplified family tree is sketched.
