There is mostly single-disciplinary research for frontier research in China, andalmost does not have boundaries research. This article does the research from theboundaries; tell us the concept of boundaries, the characteristic of boundaries,boundary evolution. And let us understand the origin of boundary. Combination ofhistory, geography, law, biology, mapping to find out territory is the origin ofboundary.In this paper, author introduces the classical definition of "boundary" and thedefinition of "boundary" in International Law. Give us a thorough understandingof the definition of the “boundary”. And next introduces the characteristics, types,functions of the land boundary. Let us understand the details of land boundary.Especially introduces the characteristics and the types, pave the way of later. Andnext from the natural attributes of land boundary, introduces the boundary needs ofanimals and humans. And next from the social attributes of land boundary,introduces the importance of boundary in humans’ lives, from the developing ofhuman, country and law. Next introduces the delineation method of land boundary,combined with the first portion, let us know what land boundary is in-depthunderstanding. Next investigates the evolution of land boundary, understands thesignificance of the evolution. At last, comes back to the question” what is theorigin of boundary”.
