OBJECTIVE:to measure the change of right heart function before and after the application of levosimendan, to identify the intervene effect of levosimendan on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.METHODS:66clinical chronic obstructive pulmonary disease cases were collected and grouped into three groups:control group, once treating group and twice treating group, with placebo and levosimendan pumping injection treatment for24h separately, the third group were treated by the same method a week later. Measure their cardiac function variables, and analyze the statistics to explore the variance of data and the relationship among them by SPSS17.0Statistic Software.RESULTS:1. The three groups have no significant difference in sex ratio, age composition, heart function classification, left ventricular ejection fraction and primary plasma BNP concentration (P>0.05) at the basic level.2. The three groups had no significant differences in RVEDVI, RVESVI and RVEF at basic level.24h later, compared with control group, RVESVI decreased and RVEF increased in both once treating group and twice treating group. One week later, these variables in twice treating group were lower or higher than1week before after injected levosimendan again. The control group did not significantly change.CONCLUSION:1. levosimendan can effectively decrease right ventricular afterload of acute pulmonary embolism patients.2. Levosimendan can help improve right heart function of acute pulmonary embolism patients..3. Effect of levosimendan is better when twice treated than once treated for COPD patients.
