Chinese Medicine With Advanced Kidney Involvement Retrospective Clinical Study Of Treatment

Objective:Carry on the clinical review research in renal cell carcinoma patients of stage Ⅳ by collecting the cases of the Guang’anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Science.Divided the cases into the pure Chinese medicine group and cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group according to the method of clinical treatment.Contrast the clinical therapeutic effect,clinical symptom amelioration,the quality of life,the clinical toxicity side effect,levels of cellular immune function,the syndrome differentiation in common use,the hospitalization days and expenses between the two groups.Then evaluate the curative effect and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine on renal cell carcinoma’s treatment.Methods:Collected75cases of renal cell carcinoma patients of stage Ⅳ which hospitalized in Guang’anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Science during the January2000to December2013.Divided into the pure Chinese medicine38cases and the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group37cases.The pure Chinese medicine group use the syndrome differentiation treatment and traditional Chinese medicine injections,the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group use the radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments,biological immune therapy,the syndrome differentiation treatment and TCM injections.three weeks a course of treatment,after two courses,analyze the clinical therapeutic effect,clinical symptom amelioration,the quality of life,the clinical toxicity side effect,levels of cellular immune function,the syndrome differentiation in common use,the hospitalization days and expenses between the two groups by SPSS software.P<0.05means the difference has the statistical significance.Results:①Comparison of the clinical therapeutic effect:the difference has no statistical significance between the pure Chinese medicine group and the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group on the quality of life and weight improvements (P=0.458,P=0.307), the pure Chinese medicine group is better than the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group on the aspect of clinical symptom amelioration,the effective percentage of the pure Chinese medicine group is73.68%, the other group isl.35%, P=0.0380.05.The difference on symptom amelioration of thirsty and declined appetite between the two groups has remarkable statistical significance P<0.01(P=0.009P=0.008).there has no statistical significance on cellular immune function levels improvements P>0.05.②Comparison of the clinical toxicity side effect:there has a remarkable significance on WBC and neutrophilic granulocyte between the two groups(P=0.004P=0.021), there is no significance on HGB,liver and kindy function,P>0.05,③omparison of the hospitalization days and expense:On the hospitalization days,there has statistical significance between the pure Chinese medicine group and the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group,the average hospital day is23.97vs28.30,P=0.013<0.05.The pure Chinese medicine group expenses is1.698E4±1.0474E4,the other group is2.605E4±1.2315E4,P=0.001<0.01.It has statistical significance.④The syndrome differentiation treatment:Without the radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments,biological immune therapy,the method of tonic is used most,especially spleen strengthening and kidney decoction.patients has stronger body can use the method by softening and resolving hard mass.During the time of radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments,biological immune therapy,supplementing Qi and nourishing Yin is commonly used.Conclusion:the pure Chinese medicine group is better than the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group on the aspect of clinical symptom amelioration.The Chinese medicine can reducing the toxicity of biological immune therapy,especially the blood toxicity,raising patients’quality of life.The Chinese medicine on renal cell carcinoma treatment,the method of tonic is used most,in the pure Chinese medicine group,spleen strengthening and kidney decoction is commonly used.In the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine group,supplementing Qi and nourishing Yin is commonly used.The pure Chinese medicine group can reduce the hospitalization days and expenses,better lightening the clinical symptoms, reduce the toxicity,raising patients’quality of life,lightening the society and domestic tribulations.
