Clinical Medicine Fumigation Treatment Of Dry Eye And Its Effect On Vision-related Quality Of Life

Objective:to evaluate the clinical curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of dry eye and the impact on the visual quality of life, in improving the patient’s objective indicators and subjective symptoms at the same time, pay attention to the patient’s quality of life, and combine both effective, for the treatment of dry eye and curative effect evaluation to provide certain reference.Methods:1. Distribution of patients in clinic of the sequence, using the computer random number, respectively give artificial tears treatment (control group) or traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment+artificial tears (treatment group).2. Treatment group30cases (60eyes) using the proposed formulas, medlar, chrysanthemum, caulis dendrobii, coastal glehnia root, dwarf lilyturf, solomonseal rhizome, mulberry leaf, mint) after decoct soup juice, use fumigation instrument for fumigation treatment, day1, every time20minutes; Joint sodium hyaluronate eye drops, eye four times. Control group30cases (60eyes) with artificial tears eye drops to treat local point, four times a day.3. Treatment for14consecutive days for one period of treatment in both groups, after comparing the treatment results.4. Outcome:the assessment of patients following indexes before and after treatment:(1) tear break-up time:BUT、SIt and FL.(2)Subjective symptoms.(3)national eye institute-visual function questionnaire.Results:1. The two groups before treatment of gender, age, subjective symptoms, eyesight, tear secretion, it appears burst time, corneal fluorescence staining and visual quality of life score had no significant difference (P>0.05).2. Objective indicators, the treatment group and control group before and after treatment BUT, SIt, FL to compare the difference, P<0.05; the two groups after treatment, the comparison of the BUT、FL differences P<0.001, SIt comparative difference (P>0.05).3. The subjective symptoms:the two groups before and after treatment sense of dryness, foreign body sensation, fatigue score differences P<0.001; After treatment in treatment group than the control group on the improvement of the three main symptoms differences P<0.05, and dry sense of comparison of P<0.001.4. NEI-VFQ-25: In the two groups before and after treatment in general health and vision, obstacles and reaction on three aspects of visual impairment and eye pain, mental health, social activity three dimensions diff P<0.05; Treatment group and control group after treatment result comparison, general health and vision, eye pain, social activities, mental health P less than0.05, obstacles and response to visual impairment>0.05.Conclusion: Chinese medicine fumigation can both improve the objective indexes and subjective symptoms of dry eye, can improve survival quality, the vision is the feasible method of clinical treatment of dry eye and cutting.
