Euodia rutaecarpa is a nearly dry and ripe fruit, which is a deciduous shrub or small tree plant of Rutaceae Euodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth. and its variants Euodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var.officinalis (Dode) Huang and Euodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var.bodinieri (Dode) Huang. It is one of the commonly used herbal drugs,first recorded in "Shen Nong’s herbal classic", and it is listed as the goods. Hunan province is Euodia rutaecarpa’s genuine production area. Hunan province has a long history of cultivation. Mainly distributs in China’s central,Southeast and southwest provinces, especially in Si chuan, Hu nan, Gui zhou, Guang xi and other provinces. Among them, Xin Huang in Hunan province has nearly2thousand years’cultivation history.In resent years, many pharmaceutical workers research on it.They concentrat on character identification, chemical components, pharmacological effects and so on. We collected29batches of evodia rutaecarpa medicinal material in total, from different regions in Hunan province. To do the geo-authentic crude drug’s quality study and fingerprint analysis, we have done the following research from four aspects.1Analyze different sources of Evodia’s conventional indicatorsAnalyze different sources of Evodia rutaecarpa’s conventional indicators, such as water, ash, extracts, and so on. The results show that, the highest moisture content is Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var.bodinieri (Dode) Huang in Xi Qi of Yongshun,9.11%. The lowest moisture content is Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var. bodinieri (Dode) Huang in the Hunan Agricultural University,3.65%; The highest total ash content is in Xiangxi Longshan,8.80%; The lowest total ash content is in the Medicine plant garden of Hunan University of traditional Chinese Medicine,4.85%; The highest acid insoluble ash is Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth. Var. officinalis (Dode) Huang in Xi Qi of Yongshun,0.79%; The lowest acid insoluble ash in the Hunan Agricultural University resources,0.19%; The highest water soluble extracts Euodia Rutaecarpa(Juss.)Behth.in Hunan University of Chinese Medicine’s medicine plantations,42.67%, The lowest water soluble extracts is Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth in Huang lei,Xin huang,28.77%; The highest ethanol extract is Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth in Huanglei, Xinhuang,55.09%, the lowest ethanol extract is Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth. var. officinalis (Dode) Huang in Taolin of Miluo,31.66%. Different sources of Evodia rutaecarpa’s conventional indicators are all in line with the2010edition of "Chinese Pharmacopoeia".2Comparison in content of index components’s different origin、 different varieties’s Evodia rutaecarpaComparativly analyze the contents of the seven areas’s medicinal materials. The seven areas are Yue yang, Wang cheng county, Fu rong county, Heng yang, Yong shun,Xin huang,Xiang xi. The results show that the content of limonin is much higher, in the Yueyang Miluo area3.72±0.41%, and the content of limonin in Wangcheng County, Changsha area is low,1.25±0.14%; The content of evodiamine and rutecarpine in Hengyang area are much higher,0.59±0.06%,0.21±0.02. The content of Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth is low in Yong shun area,0.27±0.03%, The content of evodiamine in Xin huang and Wang cheng areas are both much lower,0.09±0.01%; Comparativly analyze of the Evodia’s content of index components from different origin,the results show that,the content of limonin in Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var.officinalis (Dode) Huang is the highest,3.30±0.32%, the content of evodimine is the lowest,0.31±0.03%. The content of rutecarpine is the lowest,0.11±0.01%; The content of limonin in Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth is the lowest,2.16±0.20%,the content of evodimine is the highest,0.41%. The content of rutecarpine in Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.)Benth and Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var.bodinieri (Dode) Huang are equal, both much higher,0.13±0.01%. We use the analysis of variance and group design. Orgin is the compatibility factor, including7levels. Component is the treatment factor, including3levels. The results of variance analysis show that,composition’s F=99.298,P=0.000. we consider that the content treatment between different ingredients has great difference, area’s F=56.093, P=0.000, we consider that the area treatment is the factor of ingredients’s content.3The research of Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth. var.bodinieri (Dode) Huang’s3index components content dynamic variationEvodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var.bodinieri (Dode) Huang was collected from five plants of the six annual plants in the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine School medicine plantation, from June16to July31,2012. We collected the fruits every5days. We analyse limonin, evodiamine, rutecarpine and the total content of alkali as the index in the experiment. After the experiment, the results showed that the content of rutecarpine is very low, limonin decline rapidly, evodiamine and total alkali rise slowly. From June26th to July16th, limonin and total alkali reach the balanced phase. Taking a comprehensive consideration of3index components’s content, we consider that this period is the best harvest time in Hunan province of evodia fruit.4Studying on fingerprints of ethanol extracts of evodia medicinal materialsWe analyse the evodia rutaecarpa ethanol extracts by RP-HPLC, the samples including14batches of Euodia Rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth,11batches of Evodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.var.bodinieri (Dode) Huang samples,6batches from three different varieties, in order to investigate the fingerprints’s difference.The results show that, the differencees between different ares of Hunan province of Evodia are not obvious (greater than0.9), but the differences between different varieties are larger (greater than0.8). The results show that,the ethanol extracts’s HPLC fingerprint of Evodia rutaecarpa are in good similarity.
