The subway driver’s driving condition and performance is directly related to thecapacity, efficiency and safety of the rail transit transport. While, the current domestic andinternational researches on the subway driver fatigue are less, which are usually lack ofquantitative test data to support test results. This article starts with the subjective andobjective investigation experiments, and analyzes the subway driver fatigue status, andalso put forward suggestions that have a realistic significance to prevent the subway driverfatigue and ensure the safety of subway operation. All the282drivers of a certain subway line have been questionnaire surveyed andinterviewed, and analyze their work conditions and subjective fatigue status. Select22representative subway drivers participating in Field test experiment, which containsflicker fusion frequency response, blood pressure test and Holter, and as well as asubjective evaluation questionnaires. Through subjective and objective experimentalcomparison, analyze the actual fatigue of the subway drivers and give some proposals toprevent fatigue. The studies show that:(1) a. The bigger the day overall workload is, the moresubjective fatigue feelings the drivers have. Holter test shows the work increase physicalexertion and fatigue performance in a lunch break. The feelings of tiredness go upsignificantly when drivers work last1-2hours after lunch break, and while near closingtime, their feelings of tiredness and unease go down along with increased feelings ofweakness and fuzzy and unrecovered subjective feelings of physical function. b. On thenight shift, the blood pressure and the critical flicker fusion frequency test results showfatigue, subjective fatigue questionnaire survey showed the most significant, indicating thatthe work ends with both physical and mental fatigue; c. Because of shorter time of thenight shift, fatigue performance of bodily functions is not obvious, but due to violation ofnormal biological clock work, coupled with subjective assessment which contain a sense ofunease and a sense of sleepiness increased, bringing more spiritual and psychologicalfatigue.(2)It is suggested that regular psychological counseling and work guidance should beprovided to the subway drivers based on the above results, and in the meantime, improvethe working environment, increase the awareness of the relevant department. And thenestablish a dynamic fatigue monitoring system, and reduce the accident rate caused bypeople’s unsafe behavior, so as to ensure the safety of driving.
