Objective: Provide the SPSS syntax to deal with the problem that the hypothesis test can not be carried out for means comparison with SPSS software when only sample statistics are available and no original variable data. (1) One-sample t-test is carried out in SPSS software with SPSS syntax when only sample statistics available; (2) Two independent sample t-test is carried out in SPSS software with SPSS syntax when only sample statistics available; (3) One-way ANOVA carried out in SPSS software with SPSS syntax when only sample statistics available, and provide the multiple comparisons of means. Methods: Make SPSS syntax with version of SPSS 11.0 software to carry out hypothesis test of means comparison of randomized samples and verify the running result by verification syntax. Results: (1) One-sample t-test can be carried out by SPSS syntax only with sample statistics; (2) Two independent sample t-test can also be carried out by SPSS syntax only with two sample statistics; (3) One-way ANOVA can also be becarried out by SPSS syntax only with multi-sample statistics and the multiple comparisons of means are available. Conclusions: SPSS software can be fully helpful to solve one-sample t-test, two independent sample t-tests and random-designed One-way ANOVA when only samples statistics are available whereas without original variable data.
