Objective:The protective effects of perfluorocarbons by intraperitoneal pre-injection on rats with myocardial ischemial and reperfusion injury were observed. Methods:The experiment was designed to divide45male wistar rats into three groups randomly, including the perfluorocarbon group (PFC group)(n=15)., the myocardial ischemia and reperfused group (IRI group)(n=15), and the sham operation group (n=15). Perfluorocarbons (30ml/kg) were intraperitoneally injected into every group of rates twice, one on48hours prior to the ischemia and the other on24hours prior to the ischemia. First ligated the left anterior descending coronary artery for30minutes and then reperfused for2hours to build the myocardial ischemial and reperfusion injury model. The changes of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), malondialdehyde (MDA), myeloperoxidase (MPO), superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels were measured seperately, and the pathological changes of ischemic myocardium were observed with HE stainning. Results:Compared with the sham operation group, levels of LDH, MDA, and MPO increased and that of SOD decreased in the IRI group (P<0.05); Compared with the IRI group, the levels of LDH, MDA, and MPO decreased and that of SOD inecreased in the PFC group (P<0.05); PFC inhibited the histomorphological changes of ischemic myocardium. Conclusion:perfluorocarbon relieves the ischemia and reperfusion injury and the cardioprotection may be due to antioxidant effects and antiinflammatory reaction.
