Adipokines And Metabolic Characteristics Of Patients With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Correlation Analysis

Objective:This study was aimed at the metabolic features of PCOS patients, analyzing the related factors with dyslipidemia、IR or hyperandrogenic,checking the level of three adipokines such as adiponectin,chemerin and RBP-4in serum,comparing the level difference between the patients and healthy contril,and analyzing the relationship between BMI、WHR、lipid、blood glucose, insulin and body fat composition. Thereby, we can know the influence of the above mentioned adipokines to PCOS patients on metabolism.Method:The studied groups consisted of84PCOS patients and33healthy controls were enrolled in PUMCH, from October2010to May2011. All patients are diagnosed according to the2003Rotterdam Consensus and WHO2000TPTF criteria. OGTT or HOMA-IR were used to evaluate insulin resistance, and enzme immunoassay was used to measure adiponectin, chemerin as well as RBP-4density in serum. A total of33healthy volunteers were recruited to check and record the index as before.Result:The difference of PCOS patients and healthy controls on WHR,lipid, fast insulin and RBP-4was obvious and the difference on RBP-4level still exists even after we correct age,BMI and WHR. Among the PCOS patients, we found out that age is apparently related to TC, TG as well as fast insulin level and the abnormal grade of metabolism is gradually serious as the age grows. Adiponectin is obviously related to BMI, WHR, HDL-C, fast insulin, AUCINS, AUCGLU, HOMA-IR and body fat composition.(p<0.05). RBP-4is apprently related to LDL-C. Chemerin has unobviously relationship with the biochemical factors. BMI and WHR have obviously relationship with TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, fast insulin, AUCINS, AUCGLU, HOMA-IR, body fat composition and adiponectin. TC, hsCRP and regional or wholebady fat content of type B PCOS is higher than other types, and the difference is quite remarkable.Conclusion:Compared with normal people, PCOS patients have a higher level on hyperlipidemia, fasting plasma insulin and RBP-4. As age growing, the abnormal situation of serum lipid spectrum, glucose, insulin and body fat composion will become gradually worsen. And adiponectin may have negatively relationship with IR. BMI and WHR will influence on dyslipidemia, OGTT as well as fat disposition directly. The abnormal metabolism on type B PCOS was more obvious than other types.
