Star sensor is a high precision spatial attitude optical sensor. It has importantapplication value in the aerospace. The dynamic star simulator is the part of the groundtest equipment of star sensor. It can provide the star map simulation for the star sensor atany time and any point of the inertial coordinate system that can detect the function ofimaging, star map recognition and star tracking of the star sensor.And it can provides thetechnical guidance for the development of star sensor.This article mainly studies the design of dynamic star simulator optical system. Atthe same time we propose a design scheme to improve the star map’s resolution. First ofall, we introduce the use, components and working principle of the dynamic starsimulator. And then analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the map displaydevices. Finally chose the TFT-LCD as the core elements for displaying star map. At thesame time we use the method of TFT-LCD splicing in order to improve the resolution ofthe star map. And use the image transmission optical fiber bundle to realize it.The imagetransmission optical fiber bundle with double road input and single output form. At lastwe analysis the characteristics of the dynamic star simulator’s optical system and chosethe orthoscopic eyepiece as the initial structure. And according to the requirements oftechnical index we use the ZEMAX software for its optimization design. In the end wedesign a collimation optical system with111.7mm focal length,10.2°×10.2°field of view,0.5~0.8μm wavelength,40mm diameter of exit pupil and50mm distance of the exitpupil.The optical system is composed of six pieces of separated spherical lens that useonly three types of glass. And according to the evaluation of image quality the distortionis less than0.031%and the MTF in50lp/mm is greater than0.67. The result of thetolerance analysis shows that with the tolerance we use the design of optical system meetthe requirement.
