New City Public Center Landscape Exploration And Prospect

With the rapid development of China’s economy, the blooming process of urbanization inChina has also been switched to a strategic stage with high speed growth. The dimensions andscales of big-and-middle-sized cities expanded day by day, the develop scheme in these citiesalso needs to be changed revolutionarily. The traditional theory in city development cannotmeet the requirement of resident population and the corresponding city functions. Theproblem and discrepancy induced by urbanization become increasingly prominent. Citypublic center being as kernel zone in a city, it always undertakes onerous city lives. Most citypublic centers cannot bear the heavy load. Thus these cities are not able to develop well, andsome of them stop developing or even fall back. Therefore, the demand becomes stronger incity public center innovation. Existing city centers usually have the characters and issues ofpollutions, traffic jamming,insufficient economy develop modes, weak culture atmosphere,lacking of vivaciousness and less cohesiveness within city residents.Considering the issues of traditional city public center, we take deep research andanalysis in finding and improving a new public center develop scheme. No matter from theaspects of social humanity, environment quality or even psychological aesthetics, we all makecontribution in satisfying requirements of city residents in modern society. And our proposalalso states clearly in architectural styles, sight styles, transportation types, economy developapproach and other related issues in city public center design. We provide potent theoreticalfoundation in constructing new satellite towns in future.Based on the literatures and field inspection, our research compares and adopts bestfeatures among particular cities, integrate state-art of China’s cities, and hold the principle ofpeople foremost and sustainable development. Then we build this theoretical system. Mypaper includes three sections, first one illustrates the concept of city public center, second oneprovide the idea of design and building new type public center and specific implementationframework, and the last one presents the prospective and accomplishable objects. However, our project’s implementation also faces grim challenge. How to put theconcept of innovative city public center into practice in real city construction is the mostdifficult point and also confuses us. Therefore, this paper basically focuses on the theoreticalresearch and summary about innovative city public center, improving the theoretical system.In order to guide the city design and construction following a path which consideredprospective society, and to merge our core concept into main stream of reforming urban area,is the most important and original intention of this research.
