Intelligent compaction is engineering equipment which can continuousreal-time monitor of in the area of road construction by a roller withinstrumentation. It has important regulatory value during the constructionprocess for reducing illegal operations. The traditional road construction iscarried out by the judgment of roller operator based on experience pavementcompaction, and compaction level with the driver experience is strongly relatedto the construction process with a strong subjective. In order to reduce thesubjective judgment in construction, intelligent compaction GPS rangingtechnology will be studied in this article. The construction location data capturedusing GPS satellite receiver ranging model will be analyzed and processreal-time compression will be directly reflected to roller driver to guide driverswith scientific construction and improve the efficiency and construction quality.At first, this thesis described the NMEA-0183communication protocol, parsedthe protocol standard statement format, and achieved single point latitude andlongitude coordinates’ information extraction in compactor construction. Fordata packet loss occurred in the satellite signal drift and data collection, we triedto use keywords discriminating technology solutions. Using identificationtechnique by keywords, latitude and longitude coordinates data, azimuth, timeand other information of GPGGA, GPRMC sentence are automatically extracted.On this basis, by using latitude and longitude information, Gauss-Krugercoordinate projection transformation is carried out to complete constructionranging data preprocessing. For requirements of construction section during theintelligent compaction process, the construction process static and dynamicmeasurement techniques based on differential RTK positioning technology areanalyzed and the advantages of RTK technology and the factors that affectmeasurement accuracy RTK construction are compared. Finally, using thelatitude and longitude data collected in compaction process, road construction inGPS ranging model is built to analyze the shortcomings of traditional formulasexist latitude ranging. The formula are studied for fixed-point static measurements Vincenty ranging model and dynamic Harvsine distanceconstruction survey, preparation and testing data corresponding softwaremodules are completed. For the requirements GPS during the intelligentcompaction, process ranging were designed to test the construction of the road isdifferent fixed points ranging model, single point positioning analysis, andreal-time monitoring test track road. Simulation results show that intelligentcompaction GPS measurements ranging technology studied in this thesis hasgood stability, high precision and good prospects in the smart pavementconstruction compaction process. However, how to further optimize intelligentcompaction of GPS ranging model to improve the construction process remainsto be done to improve the computational efficiency of further research.
